Job Description

NSA Overview The professionals at the National Security Agency (NSA) have one common goal: to protect our nation. The mission requires a strong offense and a steadfast defense. The offense collects, processes and disseminates intelligence information derived from foreign signals for intelligence and counterintelligence purposes. The defense prevents adversaries from gaining access to sensitive or classified national security information. Enabling Support Specialists assist leadership in specialized areas such as training, manpower, space, visits, property management, security, budgeting, and policy for mission organizations. Description of the Position The NSA/CSS Cybersecurity Operations Center's (NCSOC) Mission Assurance Team is seeking an experienced, well-organized and collaborative leader to serve as Access Manager. As the Access Manager, you will directly support the cybersecurity mission by leveraging operational expertise to enable mission and strategic objectives. You will be the focal point for operational, governance, and complex mission support requirements. You will develop and integrate repeatable processes to execute effective and efficient day-to-day operations as well as manage access requests.

Salary: $49,157 - $78,167(Entry/Developmental Level) The qualifications listed are the minimum acceptable to be considered for the position. Entry is with a Bachelor's degree and no experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 4 years of relevant experience or an Associate's degree plus 2 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position. Degree in any area is acceptable. Relevant experience must be in one or more of the mission support functions (e.g., human resources, training, manpower, property/space management, security, communications, or budgeting). Salary: $72,750 - $113,362 (Full Performance) The qualifications listed are the minimum acceptable to be considered for the position. Salary offers are based on candidates' education level and years of experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager/organization regarding the work level for the position. Entry is with a Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree plus 1 year of relevant experience or a Doctoral degree and no experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 7 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 5 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position. Degree in any area is acceptable. Relevant experience must be in one or more of the mission support functions (e.g., human resources, training, manpower, property/space management, security, communications, or budgeting), at least some within the IC/DoD. Salary Range: $103,690 - $159,286 (Senior) The qualifications listed are the minimum acceptable to be considered for the position. Salary offers are based on candidates' education level and years of experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager/organization regarding the work level for the position. Entry is with a Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree plus 4 years of relevant experience or a Doctoral degree plus 2 years of relevant experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 10 years of relevant experience or an Associate's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position. Degree in any area is acceptable. Relevant experience must be in one or more of the mission support functions (e.g., human resources, training, manpower, property/space management, security, communications, or budgeting), at least some within the IC/DoD. Demonstrated skill in writing/editing, coordination with executive levels, and familiarity with NSA and IC policies and procedures in relevant area(s) are critical to success. Salary Range: $144,128 - $172,500 (Expert) The qualifications listed are the minimum acceptable to be considered for the position. Salary offers are based on candidates' education level and years of experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager/organization regarding the work level for the position. Entry is with a Bachelor's degree plus 9 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree plus 7 years of relevant experience or a Doctoral degree plus 5 years of relevant experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 13 years of relevant experience or an Associate's degree plus 11 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position. Degree in any area is acceptable. Relevant experience must be in one or more of the mission support functions (e.g., human resources, training, manpower, property/space management, security, communications, or budgeting) and include management of people, projects or processes. At least some of the relevant experience must be within the IC/DoD. Demonstrated skill in writing/editing, coordination with executive levels, and familiarity with NSA and IC policies and procedures in relevant area(s) are critical to success.

Description of Skills The Access Manager is a dynamic self-starter with outstanding people and networking skills. Attention to detail and accountability for results are crucial. The individual selected for this position must be able to independently institute and refine processes. They should have a strong desire to collaborate with others and move initiatives forward; exercise flexibility and resilience; and demonstrate an ability to multitask high priority requirements. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written are required. The candidate must also possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and a willingness to portray a positive and proactive attitude. The ability to effectively connect, lead, and think strategically is a must. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to details, and the ability to exercise discretion. Prior experience in the cybersecurity mission is highly desired.
