As an Engineering and Physical Science professional, you will use your skills to create the systems and tools that will be used to enhance the operation of intelligence. You will advise, administer and perform scientific projects, such as planning, designing, and constructing specialized equipment, and ensuring adherence to sound engineering and scientific standards and principles. The NSA offers multiple areas of focus for facilities engineers, including computer, architectural, electrical, mechanical, and structural. Experience working in a HVAC engineering capacity (e.g., heating, cooling, refrigeration, duct work, SMACNA, ASHRAE, energy management controls, building management systems, and mechanical codes), project management, blue prints and using AutoCAD and microstation is desired. May also include other mechanical engineering experience. FULL PERFORMANCE Entry is with a Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 1 year of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree and no experience. Relevant experience must be working in an HVAC engineering capacity (e.g., heating, cooling, refrigeration, duct work, SMACNA, ASHRAE, energy management controls, building management systems, mechanical codes, and indoor air quality standards), project management, blue prints, facilities design, and using AutoCAD and microstation. May also include other mechanical engineering experience. Formal or informal leadership and EIT (Engineer in Training) certification is preferred. SENIOR Entry is with a Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 4 years of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree plus 2 years of relevant experience. Relevant experience must be working in an HVAC engineering capacity (e.g., heating, cooling, refrigeration, duct work, SMACNA, ASHRAE, energy management controls, building management systems, mechanical codes, and indoor air quality standards), project management, blue prints, facilities design, and using AutoCAD and microstation. May also include other mechanical engineering experience. Formal or informal leadership and Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.
- Inspect and monitor the condition of facilities systems and equipment - Conduct site surveys on existing facilities for capturing system infrastructure and associated operational characteristics. - Perform engineering analyses and studies for products/parts, equipment, facilities, or facilities systems. - Design facility systems in support of building infrastructure. - Review engineering plans, drawings, or schematics. - Develop cost estimates for building infrastructure projects. Salary offers are based on candidates' education level and years of experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager/organization regarding the work level for the position. Salary ranges vary by location and work level. This position is hiring for GA, HI, MD, TX, and UT. Salary Range: $77,745 - $172,075 (Entry/Developmental, Full Performance, Senior) On-the job training, Internal NSA courses, and external training will be made available based on the need and experience of the selectee.
