Description of Position Develop and maintain methods to obtain, process, disseminate, organize, and summarize specialized reference materials in which the work requires application of specialized technical subject-matter knowledge, foreign language skills, library techniques, or systems expertise. Identify and maintain currency in research skills and analytic methodologies sufficient to provide immediate, situational awareness spanning the breadth and depth of Agency missions. Provide a historical context for solving current problems by applying professional methods and techniques to locate, analyze, and interpret historical evidence. Archive documents that, in aggregate, serve to record NSA operations or activities. Develop methods to determine when information or records are no longer needed and can be retired or destroyed. Recommend practices to meet legal constraints and controls on dissemination and use of information. Evaluate developments in information management practices for potential to help achieve NSA strategic and tactical goals. Maintain interpersonal and communications skills to a level sufficient to teach, author, and promote information management and evaluation competencies in a variety of fora. Explore and employ information technologies relevant to data and metadata tagging, extraction, filtering, normalizing, and other processes consistent with NSA standards and systems.

Intelligence Analysis has the power to influence world affairs. The Intelligence Analysis mission encourages both independent and collaborative partnering (both within NSA and with other analysts in the Intelligence Community) while seeking creative solutions to analytical questions. Salary Range: $48,670 - $77,396 (Entry/Developmental) *The qualifications listed are the minimum acceptable to be considered for the position. Salary offers are based on candidates' education level and years of experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager/organization regarding the work level for the position. Entry is with a high school diploma or GED plus 4 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 2 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree and no experience. Degree in Library Science or Information Management is preferred, but a degree in any field is acceptable. Relevant experience must be in conducting research and analysis using established professional methods and techniques and/or data/information management. Salary Range: $72,030 - $112,240 (Full Performance) *The qualifications listed are the minimum acceptable to be considered for the position. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with basic 8hr/day work requirements between 0600 and 1800 (flexible). On-the job training, Internal NSA courses, and external training will be made available based on the need and experience of the Selectee.
