The National Security Agency's (NSA) Gifted and Talented Program is only open to high school seniors. The program is designed for high school students who have demonstrated an aptitude for Engineering, Math and Science. This program provides a tremendous opportunity to gain valuable experience in the area of STEM.
The Gifted and Talented Program is only open to high school seniors. The program is designed for high school students who have demonstrated an aptitude for Engineering, Math and Science. This program provides a tremendous opportunity to gain valuable experience in the area of STEM. This is a paid 12 week internship that runs from mid-May to mid-August following high school graduations.
- Must be a U.S. citizen - Must be eligible for a security clearance - Must be a high school senior who will have completed at least an AP/IB Level Physics and Calculus course and either a Computer Science, Computer Programming or an Engineering course by completion of their Senior year. - Unweighted GPA of 3.5 or higher is preferred - Must have scored at least 1200 on the SAT or 25 on the ACT ***Due to COVID: In lieu of SAT/ACT test scores & AP/IB exam scores:High school Transcripts must show a minimum of 1 Physics or Calculus course, and a combination of 2 courses (minimum) of either Computer Science, Computer Programming or Engineering.*** - Must be at least 16 years of age at the time of hire
Salaries for all G&T students are set at a GG 02/01. The annual, full-time salary for this grade level is $28,672. Receive annual leave, sick leave and paid federal holidays. If accepted into the program students are to work full time 40 hours per week for 10 - 12 weeks during the summer months following their senior year of high school.
